Qi Shen began studying the Erhu at the age of six. By 17, she entered a music conservatory and completed her Bachelor of Music degree at 21, building the foundation for a lifelong career in performance and teaching.
沈奇六岁开始学习二胡。17岁时考入音乐学院，并在21岁获得音乐学士学位，为其毕生的演奏与教学事业奠定了坚实的基础。
After moving to Montreal, Qi became a familiar name in the city’s music scene. She performed at major events such as the Montreal International Jazz Festival, and for over a decade was a featured artist at the Chinese Garden of the Montreal Botanical Garden, delighting audiences from 1998 to 2010.
移居蒙特利尔后，沈奇积极活跃于当地音乐界。她曾参与包括蒙特利尔国际爵士音乐节在内的重要活动，并在蒙特利尔植物园中国园长期担任特邀演出艺术家，从1998年至2010年为观众带来难忘的音乐体验。
From 2010 to 2022, Qi was the Erhu soloist in The House of Dancing Water, the acclaimed aquatic show by Franco Dragone in Macau. Her haunting overtures became one of the production’s signature elements, introducing thousands of international visitors to the Erhu’s expressive sound.
2010年至2022年间，沈奇在澳门出演由弗朗哥·德拉戈内执导的世界级水上秀**《水舞间》**，担任二胡独奏。她悠远动人的旋律成为该剧的标志性元素之一，让成千上万的国际观众领略到二胡的独特魅力。
Since returning to Montreal in 2022, Qi continues to perform, teach, and record. Her work reflects the vitality of traditional instruments in a multicultural world, and her artistry brings the Erhu to new generations of students and audiences alike.
